(April 20, 2026, Nacogdoches, TX) — Get the latest updates on protecting your business, your colleagues, friends and family from fraud at the Nacogdoches County Chamber’s Fourth Friday Luncheon on April 24. Presenter Misty Cox with Austin bank will focus on equipping organizations with the tools needed to better protect their businesses and to educate employees.

“Prepare to explore today’s most common and emerging fraud threats, along with practical strategies we can implement to educate and reduce risk,” Cox said. “This presentation will emphasize how informed employees are a critical line of defense in preventing fraud within an organization, and they can take this information and apply it to their personal lives and certainly share with others.”

Topics will include check washing schemes, the growing use of artificial intelligence in fraudulent activity, phishing emails, password security and fraudulent phone calls. Attendees will leave with actionable steps to strengthen internal awareness and safeguard both company assets and personal information.

“As fraud tactics continue to evolve, it’s essential for businesses to not only stay informed but also actively educate their employees,” Cox said. “This presentation is designed to help leaders create a more secure environment across their entire organization.”

The Chamber’s Fourth Friday Luncheon series provides an opportunity for local professionals to connect while gaining practical knowledge on topics impacting today’s business community. The luncheon serves as The Chamber’s monthly membership meeting, and is open to all from the community.
