Turn-lane project on US 59 begins Sept. 14 September 11, 2026 NACOGDOCHES COUNTY – Work to improve safety conditions along a 6.6-mile stretch of US 59 south of Nacogdoches is expected to get underway next week. Work will occur between the Nacogdoches city limits and the Angelina River. On the northbound side of the road, turn lanes will be extended at County Road (CR) 620, Farm-to-Market Road (FM) 2782, and Old Ferry Road. The turn lane at CR 525 on the southbound side will also be extended.
