Each year the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce accepts nominations of businesses and individuals nominated for the chamber’s annual awards. Those selected will be recognized at the 103rd Annual Meeting & Membership Banquet slated for Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the event’s presenting sponsor’s location, The Fredonia Hotel & Convention Center.
The awards selection committee keeps the “proven leaders in their industries and positively impacting the business community” criteria at the forefront of all discussions. With so many deserving candidates, choosing the honorees is not easy but rewarding once the task is completed, and an impressive list of names emerges.
This is the season to celebrate those who are making positive impacts in Nacogdoches and the surrounding region.
The following are The Chamber’s 2025 annual awards recipients:
Gary Justice Business Excellence Awards
- Buchanan Wealth Management is Small Business of the Year, sponsored by Commercial Bank of Texas, N.A.;
- Christ Episcopal School is Medium Business of the Year, sponsored by Regions Bank;
- Commercial Bank of Texas, N.A. is Large Business of the Year, sponsored by R & K Distributors, Inc.
Nacogdoches Junior Forum is Non Profit of the Year, sponsored by Charles Pool Real Estate, Inc.
Donna Finley is the C. Wayne Mitchell Business Advocacy Award recipient.
Jason Bradford is the Citizen of the Year, sponsored by Tipton Ford.
Annual meeting and banquet Chair Betty Shinn, emcee Paul Smith, III, and committee members are planning another stunning event. In addition to the award recognitions, the chamber’s 2025-2026 board of directors will be inducted during the annual meeting, and the gavel will be passed from current Chairman Dr. Ryan Head to our Chair Elect Olivia Kiritsy.
Ms. Shinn sets a new and greater level of expectations for the community’s premier business event, and she expects it to be a sellout as it has been in the past. If you are interested in attending the event, please contact The Chamber at 936-560-5533.
