Zion Hill Baptist Church: Exhibit Team Meet & Greet
The City of Nacogdoches Historic Sites Division is partnering with Exhibit Concepts, Inc., a nationally recognized exhibit design firm, to develop a new permanent museum exhibit inside the historic Zion Hill Baptist Church.
The exhibit will share the church’s rich history, highlighting its people, its role in the community, and the lasting impact of Zion Hill on Nacogdoches and beyond.
This Meet & Greet is a chance for congregation members, descendants, and community members to meet the design team, share memories and photos, and help ensure that the story of Zion Hill is told as fully and thoughtfully as possible. Your experiences and perspectives are at the heart of this exhibit.

Loblolly Model Train Display Veteran’s Day Open House
This Veterans Day weekend, Nacogdoches Historic Sites invites the community to the Loblolly Model Train Display: Veterans Day Open House at the Nacogdoches Railroad Depot (101 Old Tyler Rd.). This special event, free to the public, will take place on Friday, 10am to 6pm, Saturday, 10am to 6pm, and Sunday 12pm to 5pm.
The Loblolly Model Train Display will come to life with a moving military-themed exhibit, featuring trains representative of the equipment and personnel transported during World War II in both the European and Pacific theaters of operation. This unique exhibit offers visitors a chance to explore the crucial role of railroads in wartime logistics.
Also featured for Veterans Day, we will have a pop up exhibit in the small waiting room called "Texas America 250". This panel display will share the story of the Lone Star State over the past 250 years.
