Nac Historic Sites Presents: America 250 Free Movie Screening
As part of its America 250 programming, the City of Nacogdoches Historic Sites is adding a second free film screening for the community this Independence Day weekend. On Saturday, July 4, at 1:00 p.m., Nacogdoches Historic Sites will present the classic Walt Disney film Johnny Tremain at Zion Hill Historic Site, located at 324 North Lanana Street.
Released in 1957 and based on Esther Forbes’ award-winning novel, Johnny Tremain tells the story of a young silversmith’s apprentice in Boston whose life becomes deeply connected to the events leading up to the American Revolution. Through his journey, audiences experience pivotal moments such as the Boston Tea Party and the battles of Lexington and Concord, offering a glimpse into the sacrifices and spirit that shaped the founding of the United States.
