Nacogdoches County Chamber Celebrates Small Businesses During National Small Business Week

The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize and celebrate the vital role of small businesses throughout Nacogdoches and East Texas during National Small Business Week, May 3–9, 2026.

Small businesses are the backbone of the local economy, driving innovation, creating jobs and contributing to the unique character and charm of our communities. From family-owned storefronts to growing service providers, these businesses represent the entrepreneurial spirit that keeps East Texas thriving.

“Small businesses are at the heart of what makes our community strong,” said Vice President/Member Engagement Shari Williams. “Their dedication, resilience and commitment to serving others not only fuel our economy but also shape the culture and identity of Nacogdoches and the surrounding region.”

Throughout the week, the Chamber encourages residents and visitors alike to support local businesses by shopping small, dining local and engaging with the entrepreneurs who make our community special. Every purchase made locally has a meaningful impact and helps businesses grow and reinvest in the community.

The Chamber also invites the community to join in celebrating by sharing their favorite local businesses on social media, leaving positive reviews, and taking the time to thank business owners and employees for their contributions.
