As an EHS point of contact and provides support to assigned Business Unit; completes work according to industry standard and the regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties
-Assists with reporting data related to EHS metrics
-Implements EHS requirements, monitors training and inspection records
-Conducts inspections and identifies hazards
-Assists in the investigation of workplace injuries and incidents; performs roots cause analysis on accidents, work hazards, helps to support corrective actions
-Assists with the development of EHS documentation, including procedures, forms, and checklists
-Assists in the development and implementation of EHS Toolbox Talks
-Assists in the development and assessments of safety training; conducts employee training
-Manages the EHS aspects of contractors that do work on site
-Support an EHS culture of excellence for safety and environmental management through effective communication
Qualifications
-College degree in a technical field such as EHS, engineering, or science or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years of applicable EHS experience
-Experience in an industrial work environment with EHS responsibilities.
-A good working knowledge of EHS regulations
-EHS certification is a plus
-Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to influence people at all levels.
-Must have strong process skills for standardization, continuous improvement, and program management.
-Must have a passion for EHS and able to translate into practical action.
-Must have good problem-solving skills and experience
