The Nacogdoches Dragons and Lufkin Panthers will meet at 6 p.m. Friday in a winner-take-all district playoff to determine the 16-5A champion. The game will be held at Nacogdoches High School.
The Dragons won their final regular season game Tuesday, beating Pine Tree 53-50, to finish 33-5 on the year. Lufkin and Nacogdoches ended the regular season with identical 13-1 marks in District 16-5A.
Visiting fans attending Friday’s game at Nacogdoches High School will park in the bus loop and faculty parking lot (adjacent to Appleby Sand Road) and enter the 9th-grade Building from the bus loop side.
Dragons students and fans will park in student parking (the same side as the Nacogdoches Fire Station) and enter the 9th-grade Building from the west side.
Once fans enter the building and purchase a ticket, they must go through the gym entrance on the same side they entered, walk up the stairs and sit on the designated “home” and “visitor” sides.
Visitor seating will be on the north and east side of the gym; home seating will be on the south and west side of the gym.
Fans will not be allowed to cross the gym floor to get to their seats. Security will be on hand to direct fans to the correct seating.
