SFA Swingin? Axes and Swingin? Aces Jazz Bands

Stephen F. Austin State University's jazz bands, the Swingin' Axes and the Swingin' Aces, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus.

The Swingin' Axes, under the direction of Gary Wurtz, will perform all nine selections from Count Basie's "Basie " Straight Ahead" album, while the Swingin' Aces, under the direction of Deb Scott, will pay tribute to the late jazz composer/arranger Fred Sturm.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and $3 for students and youth.
