About Megan Mauro
Megan Mauro is Sr. Vice President of Advocacy and Policy at the Texas Association of Business (TAB) and works with the advocacy team on a broad range of policy issues across every industry sector.
 
Prior to joining TAB, Megan was an Associate at Texas Star Alliance, a contract lobby firm and covered several policy areas including education, health care, elections, licensing regulation, local government, and appropriations. Megan has over 8 years of experience In Texas politics, working with several Fortune 500 companies, city governments, and chambers of commerce.
 
Megan gained experience in public policy during her time with the Health and Human Services Commission. As the Policy and Procedures Coordinator with the Emergency Response Division, she gained experience in government affairs, program development, and budget planning. During her time with the agency, she was an ambassador of the Repatriation Program, which helps place U.S. Citizens back in the United States after becoming destitute overseas. Megan graduated from Texas State University in May of 2013 with a degree in Health and Wellness Promotion.
 
Megan lives In Austin, Texas with her husband Kyle and Great Dane Barnaby.
