Qualifications and Skills:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas
• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
• Current CPR certification preferred, but not required
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Experience performing heart, lung, and full physical assessments preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Adhere to the Texas Nursing Practice Act, Board of Nursing rules, and all applicable regulations
• Provide comprehensive nursing care using assessments, diagnoses, and individualized care plans
• Perform and document patient assessments, including OASIS
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to physicians and care team
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Initiate preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures
• Develop and implement care plans and discharge planning
• Supervise and delegate care to LVNs and home health aides
• Conduct supervisory visits for aides at least every 14 days
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and community resources
• Clarify and verify questionable physician orders
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Assist with staff training and orientation
• Maintain compliance with agency policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned
