Wind Symphony, Symphonic Bands to perform

The Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony at Stephen F. Austin State University will present a concert showcasing varied music of Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and modern composers when the student ensembles perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, in W.M. Turner Auditorium, Griffith Fine Arts Building, on the SFA campus. Among the works to be performed in the “Musical Eras Tour” program are “Old Churches” by Michael Colgrass; “Cape Horn” by Otto Schwarz; “Courtly Airs and Dances” by Ron Nelson; and “Metamorphosis (On an Original Cakewalk)” by Daniel Kallman, Concert tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and $3 for students and youth.
