Talking Pictures

Native son Horton Foote’s drama, Talking Pictures, will close out the season.

The story takes place in 1929 and tells the story of Myra, a piano player for the silent movies, who is about to lose her job as "talking pictures" take the country by story. How will she support herself and a young boy? Will she take another chance on love? What will her landlords, the Jacksons, do as they are being forced to move by the railroad system of promotion? "The times, they are a changin'!"

The outstanding cast for this production includes Wanda Schenk, Kent Johnson, Lisa & Trae Norman, Katrina Hawkins, Joshua Hall, Olivia Dean, Hanna Bryant and Joe Ballenger.
