Event Description:
The Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art will host two simultaneous exhibitions starting in January at The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in downtown Nacogdoches. Artist Sarah Fisher collaborates with fashion designer Rachel Anderson to present “Found/Loaded” in which they transform found objects as diverse and seemingly unrelated as dry cleaning identification stickers, sacramental furniture, grocery bags and newspapers. Artist Karen Eisele will present “Encoded,” an exhibition featuring Byzantine iconography. The shows run Jan. 21 through March 20. Admission is free.
