Kid's "Sauce Dat" Barbeque Sauce Competition Powered by McWilliams and Son
The "Sauce Dat" barbeque sauce cooking competition to be held at this year's Do Dat Barbeque on Saturday April 30th from 11AM-1PM.
This event is for competitors ages 6-16. Separate entries are required for each contestant.
All cooks will be provided with a cook station, electric hot plate, pot, spoon or spatula, and "basket" of ingredients. Sauce entries may only use ingredients from the basket provided. No additional ingredients are permitted.
Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
-Appearance
-Texture
-Taste
-Overall Use of Ingredients
-Showmanship
Cooking times will be assigned by age group. Competitors will have 20 minutes to prepare and submit sauce entries for judging. (*Note: Availability is limited and will be provided in order of registration. All competitors must be have an adult present.)
