Nacogdoches Parks Advocacy League (PAL) members will host bi-monthly play dates on the first and third Fridays of each month at various City parks to encourage visitation and knowledge of all the parks managed by the City. The play dates will be held after school from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and are open to all ages. The first "PAL in the Parks" playdate will be held Friday, September 5 at Temple Park Spray Station, 1100 Martin Luther King Blvd.
Nacogdoches PAL (Parks Advocacy League) is a community-action group founded in June 2014 by a group of citizens to improve the aesthetics and function of Nacogdoches City parks and park facilities for year-round enjoyment by the whole community via organized stewardship and funding development.

Though donations can be made to the group at any time online or through the special tax-deductible fund established with the City, PAL in the Parks play dates are strictly for fun and do not have any costs or necessary equipment associated with them. ?Just come out to enjoy the park and play,? says Cartwright. ?Simple as that.? Families are welcomed to bring snacks or a picnic. Future play dates and locations will be posted on the group?s Facebook page prior to each event.
