Old-Fashioned Sweet Tooth Sugarcane Festival

Using an 1880's mule-powered sugar cane press, the cane will be pressed and boiled down to make ribbon cane syrup. For those wishing to watch the process, plan on arriving early.

The Durst-Taylor Historic House and Gardens will be open for tours during the event in addition to an assortment of activities such as pioneer crafts for kids, blacksmithing and a working smokehouse.

Nacogdoches Kiwanis Club will be making and selling pancakes with all the fixins'.
