National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

We are starting our prevention efforts early on and throughout the month to better prepare our community to participate in this event. The DEA is hosting a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day event on October 29, 2022, from 10am - 2pm. The take-back events and programs encourage dropping off unused or expired prescription drugs, including controlled substances and non-controlled substances for the safe disposal of unused prescription drugs. The NAC-CAN Coalition with the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council also has a permanent prescription drop box where community members can drop off unused and expired medications 24/7.
