Lily Phou
Lily’s career spans numerous fields where she mainly specialized in Human Resources and Operations in tech during her 10 years of living in Austin, TX. After operating and running businesses she went on to start a banking career. She is now Vice President, Trust Officer for the East Texas Market for The Preferred Legacy Trust, a bank chartered for wealth management, estate planning and trusts.
She is focused on serving her community and is dedicated to improving the lives of people in East Texas. She currently serves as the Treasurer for NacNOW, a committee dedicated to informing the public about the bond propositions in the upcoming elections for the November 7th, 2023 election, the President of the Fredonia Rotary, the President of Stephen F. Austin’s Friends of the Visual Arts, Vice-Chair and Commissioner of the Planning and Zoning Board, Board of Trustees member for the Museum of East Texas in Lufkin, a board member for the Stephen F. Austin Music Preparatory School, and formerly served as a city elected committee member for the Nacogdoches Capital Needs Advisory Committee.
Lily Phou graduated from Texas State with a Bachelors of Art in Mass Communication and Spanish. She also studied in Monterrey, Mexico at the Instituto Technologico y Estudios Superiories in Monterrey for International Business.
She is married to a wonderful and loving husband, Thomas Tracy. Together, they restore historic homes of Nacogdoches for the preservation of history and legacies of those long gone. Lily’s family has owned multiple businesses for over twenty years in Nacogdoches.
John Calahan
John Calahan grew up in Nacogdoches.
A third-generation Soldier, John is a Distinguished Military Graduate from Texas A&M University and was commissioned as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer in 1989. He served 21 years on active duty with numerous global adventures.
After retiring from the Army, he worked for several years as the vice president of a critical infrastructure risk management consultancy and remains active as an independent consultant. John is currently the Director of Institutional Effectiveness at SFA.
He serves as chairman of the CASA Deep East Texas Board of Directors and Co-Chair of the City of Nacogdoches Capital Needs Advisory Committee.
John has a BS in agricultural economics from Texas A&M University and an MA in defense studies from the University of London. He has been awarded the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Ranger Tab, Parachutist Badge, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (x2) Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (x4), Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, and is a Paul Harris fellow.
He is married to the love of his life, Rebecca Calahan, née Welch, and they have three dogs, Izzy Lou, Angel, and Piper Rose.
