Lunch Hour Learn Series: Clay House Restoration with African American Heritage Project and Hometown Treasures Toolkit
This year's theme for Historic Preservation Month is "People saving Places". You're invited to bring your lunch (drinks/cookies provided) to Zion Hill to learn about local preservation resources and learn about some of the people who are saving places around Nacogdoches. May 21st Session: Clay House Restoration with African American Heritage Project and Hometown Treasures Toolkit Members of the African American Heritage Project will share the history and latest news on the restoration of the Clay House. Krysten Sexton, Zion Hill Site Coordinator will share information about a take-home packet called the Family Treasures Toolkit, a free resource produced by the National Museum of African American History and Culture that helps individuals learn how preserve their own family treasures.
