Come experience living history at the Rice Family Log Home! The Rice Family Log Home remains as one of the best examples of log homes built by East Texas settlers in the 19th Century. Come see the design of the home and explore how its construction kept its inhabitants sheltered from the Texas elements. Aside from the home itself, come discover the stories of the Rice Family who called this building home from park staff dressed like pioneer farmers and hear about their efforts to pioneer a new way of life during Texas's most turbulent periods.
