Exhibit Opening and Community Collection Day

The Stone Fort Museum invites you to join us this Friday, September 29, 1-6 p.m. for a Community Collection Day focused on Aprons and Recipes followed by the opening reception for "Apron Chronicles: A Patchwork of American Recollections" at 6 p.m. Bring a family apron, your heirloom recipe and your memories! Beginning at 1 p.m., SFA students will record your stories and objects for an online exhibit on aprons and recipes. The exhibit's opening reception begins at 6 p.m. Learn more about the humble apron in an exhibit featuring oral histories gathered by curator EllynAnne Geisel and portraits by photographer Kristina Loggia. This exhibit was made possible in part with a grant from Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
