About Charles Zemanek, III
Charles Zemanek - also known as Mr. Z - is the Principal of Nettie Marshall Early Childhood Center with Nacogdoches ISD. Zemanek holds a bachelors of arts from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master of Education from Texas A&M College Station. He is an award winning educator, Treasurer of the Science Teachers Association, and current Leadership Nacogdoches cohort member. As a resident of Nacogdoches, he is invested in the strength of our school system as a catalyst for economic and workforce development. Zemanek’s motto is hope is not a strategy for success, a guiding principle he applies to all aspects of his profession.
About Daya, D. Hill, Ed.D
Daya Hill has spent 25 years as an educator and is currently the Chief Academic Officer for Nacogdoches Independent School District. Dr. Hill began her career in public education as a middle school math and science teacher. In addition to her classroom experience, Dr. Hill has served as a college instructor, elementary campus administrator, academic advisor, director of curriculum, instruction, and assessment, and assistant superintendent. Dr. Hill is also a curriculum auditor with Curriculum Management Solutions Incorporated. Dr. Hill earned a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University and master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
