About Erin Windham
Bio:
Erin Windham is a proud Lumberjack, having earned a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from SFA in 1996 and a Masters in Educational Leadership in 2019.
Erin began her career with Nacogdoches ISD in 2012 as a second-grade teacher at Raguet Elementary… and the following year, Erin was allowed to promote along with her students to third grade.
In 2017 she took on the role of Community Liaison at Emeline Carpenter, which led to her 2018 placement as the district’s Coordinator of the Parent/Patron Assistance Center & Partners in Education. (Try fitting that on a business card!) It was while serving in that capacity Erin began chairing the chamber’s Education Committee in addition to serving on the Nacogdoches Main St. Advisory Board, and representing the district as chair of the Broadband Committee for Better Together Nacogdoches, a community collaborative.
Within the past year, Erin’s role at NISD has changed once more. She is now the district’s Community Engagement Liaison, a title that not only saves ink and precious keystrokes but includes the additional duties of Executive Director of the newly formed Nacogdoches ISD Education Foundation.
Erin also owns a small fitness business and is married to John Windham. Together they are raising five humans in varying stages of teenagery and adulthood, which is code for: the driveway looks like a used car dealership AND a Mack truck is required for the weekly grocery haul.
