Drug Take Back Campaign
Got Drugs? Turn in your unused or expired medication for safe disposal.
Be a part of the Drug Take Back Campaign. On April 27th, the NAC-CAN Coalition, Nacogdoches and the Police Department are giving the public an opportunity to bring expired and any unused prescription medications to be disposed of properly. Bring you pills for disposal to one of two locations; the Old J.C. Penney’s Store on University Drive, or the Sheriff’s Department permanent drop box located on Old Douglass Highway. The DEA will not accept liquids or sharp needles. This service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
This initiative addresses a vital public safety and public health issues. Rates of prescription drug abuse in the United States are alarmingly high as are the number of overdoses and deaths due to misuse and abuse.
