On Saturday, April 8, the City of Nacogdoches Historic Sites Department will host its annual Azalea Art Day. Visitors will be able to take part in a variety of art projects, some with historic roots, and take their creations home with them. We will have flower pounding, which was practiced by early settlers to transfer color from flowers on to fabric for use in quilts or clothing. There will also be bubble painting, a coloring corner, homemade sun catchers and a large community art project for everyone to take part in: decorating our fence for Spring!
