Cello Club Concert

The Cello Club will present “Abiding Melodies – Harry Potter Listening to Elgar” when the collaboration of cellists from throughout East Texas performs at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, in Cole Concert Hall on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University. In addition to Elgar’s Cello concerto in E minor, the English-themed program will feature musical highlights from Vaughn Williams’ Concerto Grosso, John Williams’ “Harry Potter,” Max Richter’s “On the Nature of Daylight” and Thomas Tallis’ “Lamentation of Jeremiah.” Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and $3 for students and youth.
