"Supporting our Regional Workforce" presented at Business Connect monthly membership luncheon
Guest speaker is Brent McLemore, Director, Center for Professional and Continuing Education (PACE)
Stephen F. Austin State University is excited about the newly launched Center for Professional and Continuing Education. The PACE center is designed to support the regional workforce of Deep East Texas and beyond in upskilling, reskilling, continuing education and professional development needs by creating greater access to SFA’s educational resources and opportunities for non-degree seeking adult learners. The PACE center will also offer opportunities for enrichment to our regional community members, alumni and others interested.
The PACE center is here to help you find "Success at Your PACE!"
Business Connect, a program in the Public Policy Division
This monthly luncheon series meeting features high-profile speakers and informs the business community of important issues. Program presentations are designed to educate and better equip attendees with the information needed to make fact-based decisions. It is also an excellent venue to make and renew contacts with other professionals.

Education/Workforce Development
The Chamber supports our partners in education, including all County ISDs and Stephen F. Austin State
University in using common sense approaches good for our rural population in regards to educating our
future workforce.
Why? Because Nacogdoches businesses benefit when hiring needs are met by locals. Education institutions
benefit when talent pipelines are established.
