Book Signing for "Creek to Creek"
Come celebrate the life and legacy of Charles Raymond Bright by Sharon Brown Keith.
Community invited to book signing honoring legacy of Charles Bright
NACOGDOCHES – Sharon Brown Keith, author of, “Creek to Creek: The Life and Legacy of Charles Raymond Bright,” will hold a book signing from 1:15 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at the Fredonia Hotel and Convention Center.
“Business leader, friend, preservationist, visionary, and humanitarian,” the book jacket reads, “Bright created a resounding impact on the poultry industry that reached around the globe while never forgetting those who collectively made up the community he called home throughout his life.”
Keith, who grew up in Nacogdoches and graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 1981, has also authored, “Mockingbird Moments: A Memoir,” a work published in 2017.
“We hope the community will join us during this great event honoring Mr. Bright and his countless contributions to Nacogdoches,” said Mike Bay, visitor services coordinator for the Nacogdoches Convention and Visitors Bureau.
“The Nacogdoches CVB is housed in the Charles Bright Visitors Center – a one-of-a-kind visitors center that was shaped greatly by Mr. Bright and his legacy.”
Copies of the book will be available for purchase during the event by cash or check. Paperback copies of the book are available for purchase currently at the visitors center for $14.95 plus tax.
Proceeds from book sales benefit the Nacogdoches County Chamber Foundation and the Nacogdoches CVB.
