Blood Wedding (SFA Fine Arts' University Series)

The Stephen F. Austin State University College of Fine Arts and School of Theatre will present Federico García Lorca?s ?Blood Wedding? at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, Feb. 25 through March 1, in W.M. Turner Auditorium on the SFA campus. Lorca?s classic tale of passion, conflicting loyalties and vengeance is a feature of the College of Fine Arts? University Series. The play, with English translation by Brendan Kennelly, uses beautiful poetry to illuminate the convergence of love, lust and violence as the scene shifts from daylight to moonlit night in rural Spain. ?Blood Wedding? is recommended for mature audiences. Tickets range from $20 to $40, with discounts available for seniors, SFA faculty/staff, students and youth.
