Armed Forces Day

Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors and Veterans of America, Pineywoods Chapter 931 will host Armed Forces Day. This day honors all veterans of every branch of service. A missing man ceremony will honor the veterans who never returned. A local Gold Star family will be honored. Other participants will include the Civil Air Patrol, Boy Scout Troup 100, Heart of the Pines Chorus and the Patriot Guard Riders. There will be door prizes. Root beer floats and cookies will be served.
