NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Congratulations to the City of Nacogdoches, Texas for being selected as the Texas Arbor Day 2016 host city. Noting their rich history in forestry and designation as a Tree City USA, Texas A&M Forest Service selected the City of Nacogdoches. Also known as the Garden Capital of Texas, the City of Nacogdoches receives this honor as they are celebrating their 300th birthday as the Oldest Town in Texas. Event starts at 8am with booths and and activities for the kids. We wil plant our ceremonial 300th tree on the grounds.
