Grab your sneakers and join in the fun at the 19th annual Jingle Bell Run, one of the highlights of the Nine Flags Christmas Festival. The certified 5K run will start at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5 in downtown Nacogdoches and will feature chip timing. The relatively flat course winds through the historic streets of Texas? oldest town and past some of Nacogdoches? attractions. The awards presentation will be held at approximately 9 a.m. The Jingle Bell Run is one of the most popular running events in Nacogdoches. It offers something for everyone from the avid runner to the casual stroller, and every year participant's rave about how much they enjoy the 5K. Some people bring their pets and children. Some dress up in Christmas costumes, and some are experienced runners that have made the 5K an annual tradition.
