12X12 silent auction bidding under way

The annual 12X12 art scholarship fundraiser for the Friends of the Visual Arts at Stephen F. Austin State University is at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 18, in The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House.

Silent bidding for the fundraiser, which features 12-by-12-inch panels of artwork created by artist from Nacogdoches, Lufkin and other areas of East Texas, is from July 1 to July 18. The purpose of 12X12 is to raise much-needed funds to help students in the SFA School of Art pursue their dreams of becoming successful artists. The Cole Art Center is located at 329 E.
