The SFA Fashion Merchandising club will host the "Green is the New Black Fashion Show" to showcase the talents of fashion students who will make Halloween costumes out of recycled materials, including recycled denim on October 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Baker Pattillo Student Center. "We really want this to be well attended by the community to increase awareness of sustainability and students' efforts on campus," instructor of fashion merchandising, Jamie Cupit. To get into the show, bring a piece of denim clothing. For families, a minimum of two pieces of denim are required. During the intermission, refreshments, exhibits and a raffle will be offered for attendees. Cotton Incorporated will be attending the show all the way from New York.
