The Judy B. McDonald Public Library is offering an Altered Books Workshop on Monday, January 12th at 5:30 p.m. The community is invited to learn how to turn old books into new art. This workshop offers a chance to learn techniques and share ideas for how to make journals, albums, scrapbooks, gifts and much more.
“While we treasure our books, sometimes they get damaged beyond repair, but there are ways to breathe new life into books that can no longer be read,” says Crystal Hicks, assistant library director. “Techniques range from simple alterations to complete repurposing, and we plan to share a number of ideas for various skill levels.”
