DESCRIPTION:The combined choirs and orchestra of Stephen F. Austin State University will present W.A. Mozart's Great Mass in C minor when the student ensembles perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday\, April 29\, at First Baptist Church\, Nacogdoches. Performing are the SFA A Cappella Choir\, directed by Dr. Michael Murphy\, director of choral activities at SFA\, and Kantorei and Singin' Axes\, directed by Dr. Tod Fish\, associate director of choral activities\, along with a student orchestra. Works by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina\, Wolfram Buchenberg and William L. Dawson will also be performed. Admission is free. First Baptist Church is located at 411 North St. For additional information\, contact the SFA School of Music at (936) 468-4602.
