DESCRIPTION:Dr. Deb Scott\, professor of trombone at Stephen F. Austin State University\, and Dr. Thomas Nixon\, collaborative pianist at SFA\, will perform a recital of new solos for trombone and piano at 7:30 p.m. Thursday\, Feb. 20\, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus. The works were selected for performance last summer at the International Trombone Festival at Ball State University in Muncie\, Indiana. Scott is the director of the ITF Composers Workshop and is in a unique position to help select current repertoire for the trombone. Recital tickets are $8 for adults\, $6 for seniors and $3 for students and youth.
