DESCRIPTION:The SFA Alumni Invitational Showcase runs from Jan. 30 through May 3 in Griffith Fine Art Gallery on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University. Curated by Jeffery Brewer\, assistant professor of art (sculpture) in the School of Art\, the exhibition features works by former SFA art students and includes paintings\, drawings\, sculpture\, metal work\, ceramics and mixed media. The artists have been invited to discuss their work from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday\, Feb. 8\, in Griffith Gallery\, located in the Griffith Fine Arts Building\, 2222 Alumni Drive. The discussion will be followed by a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. in The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House at 329 E. Main St. For more information\, call (936) 468-1131.
