Austin State University opens its 2017-18 season with Ludwig van Beethoven's Seventh Symphony on Monday\, Oct. 2\, at 7:30 p.m. in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus. The concert will feature two guest artists who are winners of the School of Music's 2017 Concerto/Aria contests: Scott Augustine\, saxophone\, performing as soloist on Henri Tomasi's Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Orchestra\; and Juan Garza\, baritone\, performing as soloist on Ambroise Thomas' grand opera\, "Hamlet."
