DESCRIPTION:The mission of the Nacogdoches Film Festival is to build awareness of independent films and short films as an art form\; provide educational opportunities for Stephen F. Austin State University students and other Texas filmmakers\; and create opportunities for communities in rural East Texas to experience high quality films.\n\nOn Friday\, February 27\, 2015\, several ticketed events take place.\n\nA VIP party is 5 - 7 p.m. at the Nacogdoches CVB on Main Street. A Red Carpet event takes place 7:30 - 8 p.m. at Carmike 6 Cinema.\n\nTomato Republic is shown from 8 - 9 p.m. at the Carmike 6 Cinema.\n\nQ&A on Tomato Republic with directors Whitney Graham Carter\, Anthony Jackson and Jenna Jackson follows the film.\n\nCold in July shows at the Carmike from 9:30 to 11:15 p.m.\n\nA Q&A with director Jim Mickle and writer Joe Lansdale follows the film. \n\nCheck www.nacogdochesfilmfestival.org for more info\, including obtaining tickets\, which are limited and may sell out in advance.
