"TONY" BENNETT\n\nTony Bennett is President & CEO of the Texas Association of Manufacturers ("TAM")\, an Austin-based industry trade association representing over 600 member companies\, including more than 70 of the state's largest employers.  He joined TAM as President in 2012 following a 33-year career with Temple-Inland Incorporated\, the former forest products and financial services company.  Mr. Bennett retired from Temple-Inland as Vice President of Government Relations where he directed local\, state and federal government relations in multiple U.S. states and in Washington\, D.C. \n\n \n\nIn 2005\, Mr. Bennett was the founding chairman of the Texas Association of Manufacturers\, reviving the trade group after a more than 30-year hiatus.  He holds both a B.S. and M.S. degree in Forest Management with a Business Emphasis from Stephen F. Austin State University.\n\n \n\nMr. Bennett has served in various leadership positions on several state and national boards and committees\, including the National Association of Manufacturers\, the American Forest & Paper Association\, the Texas Association of Business\, and the Texas Taxpayers & Research Association. He currently serves on the Texas Student Success Council\, an effort of Educate Texas\, and is a former board member of the Capitol Area Council - Boy Scouts of America.
