French Style\n\nThe hit movie followed the American play\, based on a 1952 French play\, La Cuisine Des Angels. Humphrey Bogart\, Peter Ustinov\, Aldo Ray\, Joan Bennett and Basil Rathbone starred in 1955 Christmas comedy film. Set on Devil?s Island in the steamy hot tropical French Guiana\, the play begins on Christmas Eve 1910. Three convicts are repairing a roof for a small shopkeeper and his wife and beautiful daughter\, Marie Louise. The family anxiously awaits the arrival of the hard-hearted owner of the shop played by Garland Buffalo\, who comes to audit the books\, close the shop\, and beak his son?s engagement to young Marie. The convicts step down from the roof to bring justice and Christmas joy in this charming comedy from 1953. Tim Hogle\, Bill Small and Justin Hughes play the three angels. Jon Gauntt and Jessie Licht team to play the shopkeepers.
