SUMMARY:Garden Capital CommitteeHonors Home Garden Tour Donors
DESCRIPTION:The Garden Capital of Texas Committee would like to invite you to the ribbon cutting of the new playground area at Banita Creek Park North on Tuesday\, February 25th\, at 11:00am. As part of this playground renovation\, the Garden Capital of Texas Committee has donated benches with engraved plaques honoring the participants in the annual home garden tours. These benches will serve as long-standing testaments to the generous contribution to our community. Because of the folks that graciously opened their home garden to visitors\, we have been able to fund numerous planting projects around town\, resulting in more than 2\,500 new trees planted so far. By sharing the beauty of their private green space\, they have helped us make our community's green spaces that much more beautiful. We would also like to honor the countless volunteers that have served as docents for the Home Garden Tours and our partners : the City of Nacogdoches and SFA Gardens.
