DESCRIPTION:The Fourth Friday Luncheon is noon to 1 p.m.\, May 25 at Austin Hall & Event  Center at 4606 North St. \n\nAlton Frailey\, Nacogdoches I.S.D. Interim Superintendent and an SFA Regent\, is the keynote speaker. \n\nAll attending may enter the $50 drawing sponsored by Commercial Bank of Texas\, and all Chamber members are entered in a $50 drawing sponsored by Axley & Rode\, LLP\, but you must be present to win. Lunch is $16 and attendee RSVPs are requested by 4 p.m.\, Wednesday\, May 23.\n\n----\n\n \nAlton Frailey\, pictured left\, likes to say he was "hopeful" about Nacogdoches ISD before joining the school district in March as interim superintendent. Now\, after being on the job several weeks\, "hopeful" has changed over to "optimistic" and Mr. Frailey wants to share his encouraging vision with Nacogdoches.\n\n\n\n"Huddle Time" with Mr. Frailey is coming at 6 p.m. on May 21 at the Nacogdoches County Expo and Civic Center. During a meeting that's open to all Nacogdoches ISD families and stakeholders\, Mr. Frailey will provide a brief update on the state of the district. A portion of the meeting will be set aside to hear unfiltered questions from the audience regarding the district's direction and plan.\n\n\n\nIt's all part of Mr. Frailey's efforts to identify and address a number of items within the district that require attention. But it's also a time to observe and celebrate all the good things happening in Nacogdoches ISD\, and for Mr. Frailey to convey his vision of how both must come together for the betterment of Nacogdoches ISD. \n\n\n\n"Nacogdoches ISD is at a crossroads\," Mr. Frailey said. "Before taking this job\, I was hopeful. After being here for nearly two months\, and observing the students and the staff and the community\, I'm very optimistic.\n\n\n\n"It's vitally important that we learn together and come together in identifying and articulating shared aspirations for our community\, school system and children.
