The previous meeting yielded an overwhelming amount of support to revise the current ordinance over food trucks in Nacogdoches. \n\n \n\n"I believe that food trucks should be allowed in the City of Nacogdoches because it can be a great contributor to our local economy. Food trucks would become a great asset in our community!\," one resident said when surveyed.\n\n \n\n"We certainly wanted to get feedback from restaurant owners\, food truck vendors\, citizens\, and people of all ages\," Amy Mehaffey\, City of Nacogdoches Communications Director said. "We have an ordinance drafted but need to take these ideas back to constituents to ensure we are hearing all voices. \n\n \n\nA draft ordinance based on the feedback from the community lunch will be released soon. This will be revised by members of the community at the upcoming meeting. Once final revisions have been made\, the new ordinance will be presented to City Council in early summer.
