DESCRIPTION:Eggs & Issues is the Nacogdoches County Chamber's monthly membership meeting. We strive to offer excellent professional networking opportunities and provide information that is relevant and useful to our business community leaders.\n\nThe Railroad Commission of Texas will bring the program for August.\n\nThe work of the Railroad Commission has a great impact in East Texas. Learn more about the work and mission of the oldest regulatory agency in the state and get answers to questions about its work in our area.\n\n \n\nRailroad Commission of Texas\n\nOur mission is to serve Texas by our stewardship of natural resources and the environment\, our concern for personal and community safety\, and our support of enhanced development and economic vitality for the benefit of Texans.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Scott Sroufe (pictured below\, left)\n\nScott Sroufe joined the Railroad Commission of Texas in December 2021. His role as Public Outreach Manager includes representing the Commission at external speaking engagements\, conferences and exhibits\, training internal agency speakers\, and helping to manage the agency's annual Regulatory Conference for industry professionals.\n\nScott comes from an extensive background in communications and outreach. Before his role with the Railroad Commission\, he worked with the Texas Department of Agriculture as the state Horticulture Marketing Coordinator working with industry groups across the state to promote Texas produce\, horticulture\, and floriculture. He also served in the Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition Division performing duties with outreach and events. He has also worked as an educator within the public school system in the Austin\, Texas area\, and a career in full-time pastoral ministry in Oklahoma\, Arkansas\, Maryland\, and Texas.\n\nScott attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.\n\n\n\nAbout Carlos Jaime (pictured below\, right)\n\ncarlos.jaime@rrc.texas.gov\n\nPipeline Safety Region 3 Team Lead for East Texas Region | Oversight and Safety Division\n\n\n\nCarlos Jaime graduated from Kilgore College in 2017 with an associate in applied science Process Technology.  He joined The Railroad Commission of Texas in 2017 as a Pipeline Safety Inspector.  He is currently the Pipeline Safety Region 3 Team Lead for the East Texas Region.  Prior to this\, he was the Specialize Lead for Public Awareness and Damage Prevention.
