DESCRIPTION:Eggs & Issues - Economic Impact of Sale on the Trail\n\nNacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce monthly membership meeting. All Chamber members and the public are invited to attend.\n\n\n\nProgram presentation by Executive Director Arlene Gould and Media and Public Relations Coordinator Kelli West of the Natchitoches Convention and Visitors Bureau.\n\n\n\nArlene Gould - Arlene Gould is a native of New Orleans\, LA. and serves as the Exec. Dir. of the Natchitoches Parish Tourist Commission\, d/b/a Natchitoches Convention and Visitors Bureau\, since 2013. Prior to joining the CVB Arlene was curator for Melrose Plantation\, a National Historic Landmark in Natchitoches Parish and worked for LeMeridien Hotels for 15 years as Director of Human Resources in New Orleans\, LA and Los Angeles\, CA.  Arlene is the Immediate Past-Chair of the Louisiana Convention and Visitors Bureau's Association and has served on the board for Louisiana Travel Association since 2016.  She is also a board member for the Jefferson Highway Assn.\, a national organization working to preserve and promote tourism along the first International highway in America that runs from Winnipeg\, Canada to New Orleans\, LA.  Arlene's educational background includes studying business administration at  Northwestern State University\, University of New Orleans\, Hotel\, Restaurant and Tourism and Delgado Community College where she studied and became a certified tour guide for the City of New Orleans. Arlene's hospitality career also includes food and beverage management where she opened several Mr. Gatti's Restaurants in Louisiana and Texas and for Doubletree Hotels.  Arlene has worked in Hotels\, Restaurants\, Attractions and the CVB and is a proud to represent an industry that is vital to her Natchitoches community\, the region\, the state\, and our nation. Despite Arlene's many years and many miles of travel domestically and internationally\, she hasn't been everywhere\, but says\, "it is on her list."\n\n318-352-8072 | 800-259-1714\n\ndirector@natchitoches.com\n\n \n\nKelli West - Kelli West graduated from Northwestern State University of Louisiana with a BA in Journalism (Public Relations) and began her communications career at the Natchitoches Convention & Visitors Bureau as the Media and Public Relations Coordinator in 2005. From the time she left Natchitoches in 2007\, Kelli has worked as a news reporter at the Leesville Daily Leader\, an apartment manager in Mississippi\, and marketing manager for the Alexandria/Pineville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. In 2018\, Kelli returned to the Natchitoches CVB as Director of Marketing & Communications. She is a graduate of the Southeast Tourism Society's Marketing College\, earning her Tourism Marketing Professional designation in 2014\, and the Louisiana Travel Association's Leadership Academy in 2016. She recently completed a certificate program in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Florida Atlantic University.
