SUMMARY:Community Forum for SFA President Search
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to an open forum to discuss the presidential search with executive search firm R. William Funk & Associates and members of the screening committee at 2:30 p.m. Monday\, March 11\, in the Baker Pattillo Student Center Theater. They are interested in hearing your thoughts about the kind of individual you would like to see in the position.\n\nQuestions to consider and come prepared to address include:\n\n	When thinking of your concept of the ideal university president\, what are some of the most important qualities you feel he or she should possess?\n	What background (e.g.\, education\, experience\, position\, etc.) and management or leadership style do you think would be beneficial to SFA and why?\n	What do you consider to be the major immediate and long-term opportunities and challenges the next president will inherit?\n	Why do you think a potential applicant\, who may be reluctant to leave their current position\, should consider applying?\n	What are your aspirations for SFA?\n\nThe consultants will be on the campus March 11 and 12 meeting with various constituent groups individually\, and the forum is intended to afford everyone on campus and in the community a chance to express their views about the preferred characteristics of the next university president.\n\nThis is your opportunity to have your voice heard at the very beginning of the presidential search process. The firm and screening committee are pleased to have this opportunity to meet with you and encourage you to attend.\n\nRespectfully\,\n\nAlton Frailey\n\nChair\, Screening Committee\n\nBoard of Regents
