The annual trip was previously called the Lufkin/Angelina County Day in Austin.\n\nThis year\, a delegation of Nacogdoches citizens will travel with Angelina County residents to the State Capitol to convey our legislative priorities to state officials and to hear updates on proposed legislative/regulatory changes impacting East Texas businesses. \n\n"We are honored to partner with the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce with Chamber Day this year in Austin\," Chamber President & CEO Tara Watson-Watkins said. "For the past few years\, the Chamber leadership has been focused on working together for the betterment of our two communities. For the most part\, our two communities are focused on the same issues and it makes sense for us to join forces and take a larger delegation to Austin to visit with our legislators and associations to advocate for Deep East Texas." \n\nThe two-day trip will begin on February 15 with a series of targeted meetings and presentations and will conclude on the evening of February 16 with a joint legislative reception. The reception will be held from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM at the Austin Club at 110 E. 9th Street in Austin. A buffet and beverages will be provided to attendees.\nYou may also contact the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber at 936-634-6644 or email RSVP@LufkinTexas.org. Questions?
